MUNICIPAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT DESIGN

I was the Project Manager, and engineer of record for the design and construction of the Miami Wastewater Reclamation Facility.  The facility was initiated to replace an aged passive lagoon treatment system with a new anoxic/aeration wastewater treatment plant to treat municipal wastewater effluent from approximately 2,500 homes in Miami, Arizona.  The facility was designed to treat 640,000 gallon per day, with all high quality effluent reused in mining industrial water circuits, aquifer recharge to mitigate contamination and nearby golf course irrigation. I led teams that provided land planning, permitting and civil engineering design services for the wastewater reclamation. Services included multi-agency coordination, development of preliminary and final design reports, evaluation of siting alternatives and treatment technologies, construction and operation and maintenance cost estimates, site permitting and coordination of all civil, geotechnical, electrical and structural design components, construction oversight and quality assurance.
